The real intent of Gun Control

Why is gun control really in the news? Is it because of local shootings? Is it logical to ditch guns because bad guys use them? I think if we look at this economically and politically we will see what is going on with the gun control debate.

Before we delve deep into the context I speak of we have to understand the real purpose of the founding fathers putting guns into the constitution. Remember, they came from a land where tyranny reigned. Soldiers could do anything they wanted and they can take whatever they wanted so when the founders created the nation they built it around one basic philosophy: the difference between a right and a privilege.

After they discussed the difference in terms they came to a conclusion that people needed the right to protect themselves against tyrants who looted their hard work. It is not lawful for government to steal so the people had the accord to protect themselves from government.

Fast forward to today, we hardly see the need for gun control because the government doesn’t knock on your door to take money anymore. So we reasoned that the use of guns were there for open season hunting and gaming. However, government never forgot the purpose of gun freedoms. They also knew their purpose which was to keep government officials in check.

Today we stand on the brink of tyranny, the last four presidents paid little to no regard for the constitution which is a document that is meant to state the obvious not to govern or direct freedoms in some way. The people and government both know there will be major changes in our society.

1) Because the ideals of American society are changing toward socialism and

2) The dollar is decreasing at a rapid rate

There may be a transition of government authority as we saw with the EU and the government intent is to render the people defenseless to make the transition easier. Of course, with all the socializing happening in school people believe it is okay for govt to take over. The only ones who will fight are those who know their history.

The intent of gun control is not to make a safer society its to make an unarmed society.

All suffering will come to an end

8 01 2013

And He began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.
Mark 8:31

Part of being human means that we will suffer in this life; some more than others, but suffering is just a part of what we all experience. And Jesus was no different when He walked on this earth. Jesus explained to His disciples that He would suffer, be rejected, and be killed. Jesus, as the Son of God, had to suffer, had to be rejected, and had to be killed. That was the righteous requirement for sin (Romans 8:4). But think about this: Jesus also suffered to show us that when we suffer, we will make it through.

Those who put their faith in Jesus Christ don’t suffer for naught. The book of James tells us that suffering and trials bring about completeness and wholeness (James 1:2-4). Suffering and rejection come in so many forms today. Sometimes it’s the loss of a loved one. (For me, it was my brother who was killed in an auto accident when I was in high school). For others, it’s the divorce of a spouse or the rejection of a son or daughter.

Whatever the situation, we’ve all suffered and have felt the sting of rejection. But the encouraging part is two-fold. First, put your trust in the fact that Jesus was rejected and suffered in horrible ways… for you. Be assured that whatever you go through today, some One has already shared those pains and knows exactly what you’re experiencing. Second, know that the suffering will stop some day. Jesus is coming back any moment and all of the suffering will cease! Live your life today knowing that the pain, agony, and suffering are almost over. There is an end, and it’s coming soon!

“He who testifies to these things says, ‘Surely I am coming quickly.’ Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!” (Revelation 22:20).

Running the Race

7 01 2013

Let me ask you a question: Do you actually understand the concept of freedom? The word freedom is thrown around a lot but the concept is never explained. Christ has said that we are free and we are free indeed but free from what or free to do what? Recently I’ve been blessed with knowing freedom and being able to teach the concept so that others might know it more.

Living in America many of us have never considered what it is like to feel the heavy hand oppression. We do not know first hand the tyranny of a king. We haven’t felt the onslaught of a one sided economic market. We haven’t been grimaced with poor living standards and inadequate medical care. So being “free” feels no different than being enslaved. So how does the concept of freedom work?

Freedom is found not only spiritually, but also economically, politically, and financially. The best way I can describe freedom is that you are no longer bound by chains that hold you back. In the Spirit world it is your sin that binds you. In the economic world it is the tax that government bring, in the political world it is the political red tape that doesn’t allow to advance technologies or better lifestyles and financially it i our own discipline that withholds us from obtaining freedom. Freedom is like running a race, the end is not a finish line but rather a goal. You desire to achieve that goal and running the race will get you there. However, there are strings attached to you holding you back from actually completing the task at hand! Have you ever wondered why video games who’s main mission is to level up and acquire weapons and wealth are the most sought after games? It is because the very idea of attaining goals and building a legacy is naturally wrought inside of us! We were meant to build legacies and in a video game there are no restraints. The only way you are limited is by your own devotion to acquiring the titles.

The real world works the same way it is just much harder. So freedom is cutting the chords that hold you back from obtaining your rewards. Once those chords are cut you can run as free as you want without any resistance. Run the race if you have been freed from chords which hold you back. Now, to bring it full circle… The only aspect in life where the chords can be cut with no work is the spiritual life. Christ has cut the chords of your Spiritual life and now you run free Spiritually towards the goal which is not death but everlasting rewards! I also noticed one more thing. Since one your areas has been cut and you are now free. You can use that Spiritual man to cut the chords that hold you back in other areas. When the concept of freedom is realized it is only natural to work harder because we see that our labor means something. It is to my experience that when people see the benefit of being free they become harder workers not more lazy.

Who is Jesus to you?

7 01 2013

Now Jesus and His disciples went out to the towns of Caesarea Philippi; and on the road He asked His disciples, saying to them, “Who do men say that I am?” So they answered, “John the Baptist; but some say, Elijah; and others, one of the prophets.” He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter answered and said to Him, “You are the Christ.”
Mark 8:27-29

How will you respond when Jesus asks, “Who do you say that I am?” Do you see Him the way the world sees Him? Will you answer His question the same way the impressionable passers-by answered? Or will you answer the way Peter answered, that He is the Christ?

You see, the world sees Jesus as just another god on the shelf, an emergency back-up plan in case circumstances get really bad and they need to be bailed out of something. They only seeJesus as another religion.

Then there are those who have listened to the things of the Lord but have never made a full commitment of faith to truly follow Him. They perceive Jesus to be some prophet, like John the Baptist or Elijah. Indeed, John was a reformer, calling for repentance and a change of ways from the old lifestyle. And Elijah was the national conscience. Even the king and queen feared him because he stood up for what was just and right. He was the spokesperson for God and he stood between opposing opinions.

And while seeing Jesus as a reformer and a prophet are good, they still don’t fully represent who He is. Yes, we see Jesus as the One who calls for repentance and a change of lifestyle. Yes, we see Jesus as the spokesman for the Father, always doing the Father’s will. But He’s much more than that! He is Jesus the Christ, the Son of God! He’s the Messiah who died on the cross for your sins so that you could experience a life on this earth that matters, and an eternal life with Him forever. His is our Savior!

The God we worship isn’t like any other god or religion. Jesus loves you. He wants a relationship with you. He is reaching out to you and desires to be with you. Jesus is so much more than a prophet or an evangelist. He is the One who took the sins of the world away. He rescued you out of your sins.

In your day-to-day life, don’t let the enemy lull you to sleep thinking that Jesus is just another something-or-other. Don’t relegate Jesus to being just another person who walked this earth.

So… who do you say that He is?

“For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross. And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight” (Colossians 1:16-22).

The Science Delusion

5 01 2013

In many ways science has helped us breakthrough the darkness of ignorance. We have used science in many ways to help the sick, to raise technological advances, to ponder and to enlighten. In this brief (very brief post) I will talk about how mixing world view with science leads to a false science backed by a little bit of truth.

The only thing harder than rejecting a false ideology is rejecting a false ideology that has hints of truths mixed in. It is the hints of truth that draw individuals towards the philosophy. Whether we like it or not we can never have a fully unbiased classroom. Either you are teaching people to hold to a world view of God or you are teaching people to hold a world view of naturalism. Naturalism is just as much a philosophical world view as believing in deities. So the delusion in science is that the only things that matter are the physical things we can see and touch.

After all, isn’t that what science is all about? Observing physical evidences and how they react with the world around it? The silent philosophy that is taught is that nothing else exists outside of what science can observe. This world view has permeated itself around America and the world. As if to say, science has become the almighty creator and everything else that doesn’t follow what my science teacher says is obviously not true.

So we take a look at something like evolution. I will make the claim now and argue it for the rest of my life that the “theory” of evolution is no more a theory than it is a grand hypothesis. The reason being, they have a little bit of truth which is that life changes over the course of time but they never really observe the claims that they are making about life mainly, having evidence that once species created another. We also have not seen evolution take place and because we have observed some minute changes in creatures, the scientist will take it one step farther and bring in the idea that everything came from the same place. All that is needed is time for it to change and evolve into something that is not what it started with.

I call this a grand hypothesis because it doesn’t meet the scientific definitions of a theory. A theory, is something that has been tested time and time again and has not failed. It has been observed and can even be manipulated. But here is the loophole that scientists slip through in order to keep evolution alive. They point to the small truth and then claim the larger hypothesis is correct because of minor managed evolution. A bird changes beak size so that it can eat so therefore all life evolved from a rock or crystal or primordial goo? Here is the problem, if you want to convince someone of evolution then why not take bacteria which changes generations every 15 minutes and see if it doesn’t evolve into something that is not bacteria? Wouldn’t this prove that species evolve from one species to the next?

Fortunately, tests like this have already been done! But when it produces a result that doesn’t congeal to the prevailing worldview it is discarded. We are then taught in the science classroom that science in America is unbiased and looks for truth wherever it is found. See, a few scientists have already tested the theory of evolution. They took a batch of bacteria and repeatedly forced it to change generation quickly. The bacteria went through 100,000 generations until they reached a conclusion. The bacteria didn’t increase in complexity. In fact, the bacteria broke down and became weaker. The generations didn’t live as long and they eventually fizzled out. they came to a conclusion (which should be obvious) that you can only pull from a gene pool not add to it. When the next generation produces itself it pulls only from the previous generations attributes. There aren’t any new genes available to make it more complex. The gene pool depleting is only one of the observances made by the scientists. They also realized that the genes themselves hit a genetic barrier code. This barrier hindered the genes from becoming more complex. It is the same barrier that doesn’t allow for the animals to cross mate with other species not of its kind. I think this is good evidence against the case of the grand hypothesis. If the genes were able to make new genes why wouldn’t they be able to cross breed species? The genes themselves should have crossed the line at some point in history right? Which means they can cross species through sexual activity. But observation tells us a different story.

The great delusion in science is that one man’s world view (whether it be Charles Darwin or Richard Dawkins) is the correct world view because my scientist said so. Just think about it, when was the last time you did a science experiment or have watched evolution take place? The common answer is to say, well it just needs time. But this can’t be a substitute for experimentation. “It just needs time” is a claim. I can claim rocks grow arms and legs after a million years but this shouldn’t become a hypothesis simply because some rocks have nubs on them.

When we end up looking at evolution objectively, science paints a different picture than what is taught in the classroom about this topic. I’m not a against science. I’m against bias science. I’m not against teachers or students or scientific experimentation I am against worldviews being forced on people without the people’s knowledge.

Once a person believes in evolution they are given a world view. The world view is that we are animals. Having the presupposition that we are animals leads a person to realize that morals have no ground. It would be good to follow morals but they have no ground. It also leads them to believe the world is chaotic and random in its processes. Nothing is predictable and we should ride the wave. If you are a leader this world view is great because you can trap the people in any net you want and claim that it is random chance and there is nothing wrong with it because morals are not absolute. In extreme cases of this ideology it has led to genocide. Adolf Hitler started the genocide by saying we should get rid of all people who have defective genes. That is all physically and mentally handicap so that natural selection can run its course.

Make sure you know what you believe because a person who stands for nothing can fall for anything.
