4 Pillars to succeed in anything:

4 Basic principles

Life is a complicated issue that comes with little to no manuals and even fewer people who know their way about this place. In this discussion I would like to tell you the 4 basic principles that I’ve learned through experience to help me gain momentum towards success.

A master of these 4 principles achieve success no matter what field they are in. It is as if the definition of success resides in these 4 basic principles:

1) Discipline:

Discipline is a difficult principle to master. Especially in the day and age we live in where distractions are considered entertainment and there are more than enough ways to be distracted. However, without discipline we cannot adequately accomplish any task let alone accomplish it with perfection. So how does one gain discipline? That’s an issue I’ll leave for another day right now I want you to ask yourself what goals do I have and what am I doing that i hindering me from reaching my goals? What distractions are keeping from advancing my motives? The act of staying away from distraction is discipline but that means nothing if it is not accompanied by the next pillar.

2) Consistency:

Consistency is another principle I picked up along the way of life. The problem with many people (including myself) is that we may be able to discipline ourselves for a time but we aren’t consistent with it. We feel good about not watching television and instead we work out but success is not a “hit it and quit it” way of life. It is a matter of endurance. Going through the process of continual discipline and rejecting of the pleasures of life are what is necessary for accomplishing your goals. Discipline and consistency will get you to success but the next pillar I will introduce to you will give you the quality of success.

3) Focus:

Anyone can struggle through college and walk into a degree but do you remember the things you learned? Anyone can create a painting but how is the quality of the painting? Is it on par with artists? The quality of your results depend on the focus you put into achieving the desired goal. This pillar is contingent upon the first two. Without the first two pillars forget about this pillar it won’t even work. Focus is the amount of energy you pour into what you want to accomplish. The more focus the better the quality.

And lastly, commitment:

Do you have the commitment to stick to your goals? The truth is I spent the last 6 years of my life in community college because I lacked commitment to stick to one major. I had poor grades because I lacked the focus to put forth any real quality in my classes. And I learned discipline and consistency after dropping 14 classes.

I learned these principles through experience, and I write them here to share them with you. There are others I know who have applied these concepts to their lives and the fruit has been immense. In our recent times a famous figure I can think of that acquired and became a master of these four disciplines is Ron Paul.

He had the discipline to not be bribed he had the focus to give good quality work to make articulate and coherent arguments to explain his points and positions. He had consistency  in the sense that he consistently preached the same message for over 30 years and lastly he carried commitment to see his vision all the way through.

I highly suggest picking someone to follow and if you can’t find one then be the person you desire to be. Become a master of the 4 pillars which lead to success

Be a Righteous Rebel

A rebel in the world

A rebel is someone who goes against today’s authority and culture. Most of the time you think a rebel is someone who is bad, and unfit for society and most of the time you are correct. I know in ordinary rebel means sinner, but everyone is sinning so its no longer rebellious to sin. Jesus was a rebel who counter counter cultural.

Be a righteous rebel!

Stand against corruption, bribery and short term gratification. Be a man who stands with his wife and not against her. Be a wife who respects her husband and fights against the urge to cut his head off for being incompetent. I have decided to be a rebel, one who stands with the righteous because the world today is just too corrupt for my tastes.

Running the Race

7 01 2013

Let me ask you a question: Do you actually understand the concept of freedom? The word freedom is thrown around a lot but the concept is never explained. Christ has said that we are free and we are free indeed but free from what or free to do what? Recently I’ve been blessed with knowing freedom and being able to teach the concept so that others might know it more.

Living in America many of us have never considered what it is like to feel the heavy hand oppression. We do not know first hand the tyranny of a king. We haven’t felt the onslaught of a one sided economic market. We haven’t been grimaced with poor living standards and inadequate medical care. So being “free” feels no different than being enslaved. So how does the concept of freedom work?

Freedom is found not only spiritually, but also economically, politically, and financially. The best way I can describe freedom is that you are no longer bound by chains that hold you back. In the Spirit world it is your sin that binds you. In the economic world it is the tax that government bring, in the political world it is the political red tape that doesn’t allow to advance technologies or better lifestyles and financially it i our own discipline that withholds us from obtaining freedom. Freedom is like running a race, the end is not a finish line but rather a goal. You desire to achieve that goal and running the race will get you there. However, there are strings attached to you holding you back from actually completing the task at hand! Have you ever wondered why video games who’s main mission is to level up and acquire weapons and wealth are the most sought after games? It is because the very idea of attaining goals and building a legacy is naturally wrought inside of us! We were meant to build legacies and in a video game there are no restraints. The only way you are limited is by your own devotion to acquiring the titles.

The real world works the same way it is just much harder. So freedom is cutting the chords that hold you back from obtaining your rewards. Once those chords are cut you can run as free as you want without any resistance. Run the race if you have been freed from chords which hold you back. Now, to bring it full circle… The only aspect in life where the chords can be cut with no work is the spiritual life. Christ has cut the chords of your Spiritual life and now you run free Spiritually towards the goal which is not death but everlasting rewards! I also noticed one more thing. Since one your areas has been cut and you are now free. You can use that Spiritual man to cut the chords that hold you back in other areas. When the concept of freedom is realized it is only natural to work harder because we see that our labor means something. It is to my experience that when people see the benefit of being free they become harder workers not more lazy.
